NSPCC

As Lead Copywriter on the NSPCC account, it was one of the first projects I worked on when I returned to work after my first baby, determined to be the same creative I was before. I was so proud of the story we were able to tell – and the fact that it was shortlisted for Best Writing at the 2018 DMAs.

Insight
For children suffering sexual abuse, your loved ones are not always the right people to talk to.

Imagination
The completely hopeless, devastating feeling that comes when you find out your daughter has been sexually abused. What happens when you find you’re unable to help her, to say the right words or make it better.

This DM appeal, to fund more life-saving, life-changing child therapists had to be as real and heartfelt as possible. No tricks or gimmicks. Just one parent speaking to another. I interviewed the signatory, and did my best to bring her story to the supporters in the truest way, to encourage more support for this special organisation.

Impact
It was the first pack to talk directly, parent to parent - mum to mum. It beat the target and took me to the DMAs.
