Insight
Arthritis affects 10 million people in the UK. But all too often, it’s seen as an inevitable part of ageing, dismissed by doctors as ‘just a bit of arthritis’. It’s not right. 

 The truth, for too many people, is relentless pain and a struggle to find the answers, care and treatment they need. 

 Versus Arthritis are on a mission to raise money to push research forwards, offer support to millions of people and campaign to get their voices heard – in parliament and in society. find out more, find better treatments and campaign 

Imagination
As part of the creative team, I’ve helped to launch their new vision, mission and values. Created a short film about their supporter services. Launched brand new supporter magazine ‘All of Us’, championing the scientists and people with arthritis as the cover stars. Plus Christmas fundraising appeals and campaigns demanding an end to agonising hospital waiting times. Impact
 Individual Giving Manager, Bethan Thobani-Hacker,&#38;nbsp;said “You really understand our audiences, and show our impact through powerful visual and copy storytelling. Our supporters deserve to have you creating amazing communications for them.”

Insight
Everyone loves cupcakes. And everyone wants to help defeat dementia. Put the two together and you have Cupcake Day.

Imagination
We've all got a particular style – and a favourite cupcake. Some of us are all flowery kitsch with a cherry on top, some of us are more dash-to- the-shops-and-buy. And that's OK – everyone’s invited to host Cupcake Day in their own unique way to raise money. 

We created the entire event and all the materials, from the website, DM, social and radio (starring the wonderful Ruth Jones) to the film, set in the fabulous Cupcake Day salon.

Impact
We doubled sign up targets.&#38;nbsp;

Newly merged, joining the forces of Asthma UK and the British Lung Foundation, Asthma + Lung UK needed help with their first appeal as a new brand – and a much-underfunded cause. 

Imagination
The statistic that just 2% of public funding goes towards lung health research was too shocking to shy away from. So we pushed for a striking message that was rolled out across DM and digital platforms. Impact 
Deputy Head of Fundraising, Joe Aldrich said “I’ve been impressed with the way you’ve operated, from conception to delivery and you’ve helped to bring the new brand to life! Your adaptability and ability to hit deadlines have been greatly appreciated.”

A murder mystery event, set on cruise ship in the 1920s. I devised the story and wrote each script, along with the pack contents – invitations, tips for the host and everything you need to play each character.

As Lead Copywriter on the NSPCC account, it was one of the first projects I worked on when I returned to work after my first baby, determined to be the same creative I was before. I was so proud of the story we were able to tell – and the fact that it was shortlisted for Best Writing at the 2018 DMAs.

ImaginationThe completely hopeless, devastating feeling that comes when you find out your daughter has been sexually abused. What happens when you find you’re unable to help her, to say the right words or make it better. 
This DM appeal, to fund more life-saving, life-changing child therapists had to be as real and heartfelt as possible. No tricks or gimmicks. Just one parent speaking to another. I interviewed the signatory, and did my best to bring her story to the supporters in the truest way, to encourage more support for this special organisation.

ImpactIt was the first pack to talk directly, parent to parent - mum to mum. It beat the target and took me to the DMAs.

InsightIt was Christmas. So, of course, we wanted to remind everyone that ‘A dog is for life, not just for Christmas’.&#38;nbsp;

ImaginationHow can anyone abandon poor, precious Betty? And at Christmas time? We let her cuteness do the talking. Along with a sad story, a cardboard box and a waggy-tailed ending.

The Diamond Challenge was open to anyone, of any age – not just your teenage DofE Award participants.

10 days drinking nothing but water. It's the ultimate challenge of willpower (and no, you're not even allowed a slice of lemon in it).

Imagination
We imagined ourselves in the pub, standing by the kettle, next to the drinks machine – desperately trying to avoid the drinks we love. All we could hear was the drink talking to us, persuading us to do something ‘bad’. So we took to social media – and set our jolly lifeboat singers free to step in when the temptation became overwhelming. (Note to self: Add songwriting to the CV)

Impact
Nearly 7,000 people signed up to take part, 90% of them brand new RNLI supporters. In total, we raised £174,000 – and we did it again the following year.

Insight
Dogs love walkies. In fact you might say, it's their favourite thing in the world, behind sleeping and treats.

Imagination
It's time to ramp up the every day walk around the block, with a massive walkies at the UK's biggest parks. Let's invite all the dogs and give them their best walk ever - and raise money to help rescue and rehome and ones who aren't so fortunate.

Impact
The flagship events in London and Birmingham raised a whopping £39k – and 73% of walkers were new supporters to the RSPCA.
